3 ply, single thread: Needle size 3-3.5 mm

Knitting Tension: 23 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm

Double thread: Needle size 5 mm

Knitting Tension: 17sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm 

Wash: Hand wash 30 deg.   Alpaca can also wihtout any problems be washed in a modern washing machine set to cold wool program, but If in doubt please contact manufacture for futher details.

A wonderfully soft and versatile 100 % pure Alpaca yarn from the llamas of South America. The filaments in Alpaca yarn are 3 times stronger and have an insulating capacity 7 times that of ordinary lambs wool. Creates light weight, but very warm and cosy garments, the delicate cloud of filaments making it almost silky and very soft to touch. Very easy to handle and a lovely yarn to knit with as stitches glide along the needle effortlessly!

Drops Alpaca yarn is available in a huge range of both solid and mixed colours. 

You may use Alpaca as an alternate yarn for all Drops pattern in Camelia, Fabel, Drops Silketweed, Silke, Drops Safran, Baby-ull, Baby Merino and Drops Cotton Viscose. If you knit with double thread Alpaca, you may use it as an alternative for patterns in Drops Paris and Drops Alaska as well.
